Getting started

OverflowForge takes you from an idea to a live site, then keeps improving it so AI assistants and Google cite it. This guide walks through each step.

Launch a site

Go to Projects → New Project → Launch a new site and describe the business, for example "emergency plumber in Austin" or "best espresso machines review site". OverflowForge matches the idea to one of 50 industry design systems, writes the copy, and builds the site. You'll see a live preview within about a minute.

Every site ships with a sitemap, robots.txt, an llms.txt file and structured data. While you look at the preview, OverflowForge researches keywords and writes your first three pillar articles in the background.

Edit in Site Studio

Site Studio shows your site on the right and a chat on the left. Ask for changes in plain language — "make it feel more premium with a navy and gold palette", "rewrite the hero for busy professionals" — and the preview updates. Switch pages and toggle desktop or mobile view from the toolbar.

Generated testimonials are labelled as sample reviews until you replace them with real ones.

Write and publish content

The content editor pulls the pages that rank for your keyword, builds an outline from them and scores your coverage as you write. Type ++ to have AI continue a paragraph. When the article is ready, choose Publish → Publish & Inject to Live Site: it's added to your blog, llms.txt and sitemap, with FAQ structured data built from your FAQ section.

Track AI visibility

Open AI Visibility and add the questions your customers ask AI assistants, or click Suggest prompts. Run a scan to ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews each question. For every answer you'll see whether your brand is mentioned, whether your domain is cited, and which sites are cited instead.

The headline numbers:

  • Mentioned — share of answers that name your brand.
  • Cited — share of answers that link to your domain.
  • Citation share of voice — your links as a share of all links in the answers.
  • Mention share of voice — your mentions compared with the competitors you list.

Fix gaps with GEO Copilot

On a question where you aren't cited, click Diagnose. OverflowForge fetches the pages the engines cited and compares them with yours: a short direct answer under the title, comparison tables, FAQ answers, sourced facts, depth and a visible updated date. Fix with GEO Copilot adds what's missing to your article as a draft — facts only come from the cited pages, with links. Review it in the editor, then publish.

Leads and bookings

Contact and booking forms on your sites send submissions to Leads, and you get an email for each one.

Use an existing site

Choose Grow an existing site and enter your domain to use keyword research, the content editor and AI visibility tracking with a site you already run. Publishing to the live site works for sites OverflowForge hosts.
